Altered Gift Bag

Hello Friends..!!!
Today I'm going to show you another altered project. I'm showcasing this  for my DT project in Indian Quilling Challenge.
I have altered a cereal box and used bright Pink color mostly here.
I made this gift bag for my Lovely Sister-in-law, who is very special to me.
Kept it floral and added a lot of pearls and pearl strings as she loves all these Pink and girly look.

I love quilling and because it is for Quilling Challenge I have used Quilled Flowers; A big one on the tag and 3 small roses with leaves.
I have used a stamp( for the first time) here on the tag which says "You are so Special".
Also I have used a 3D tag, a Bird,flowers and a butterfly.

So here are some details of the project below:

Materials :
A cereal Box
Floral Patterned papers
Quilling strips for Flowers ( here I used 10mm strips for roses and 5mm, 10mm and 3 mm strps for the big flower)
Pink Lace
Pearl string
Pearl stickers
3D Stickers
A Tag
Stamp ( Special Thought Stamp from Penny Black)

Below are some pictures of the box before and after...

Altered Box

Hello Friends...
Today I'm sharing an altered sweet box.

I have made this as a DT Project for Indian Quilling Challenge # 24 Recycle or Upcycle Projects with Quilling in it.

I used pattern papers, doily, lace, tags, brad to decorate it.
Made a two layered and a one layered quilling flowers to place on the top.
Finished the look with adding a few pearls here n there.

Used the same patterned paper for the inside and all sides of the box.

Do participate and don't forget to link your projects to  http://indianquillingchallenge.blogspot.in/2016/03/iqcg24-recycle-upcycle.html

Here is a small Tutorial for this Box...
A Cardboard Box
Some patterned Papers
Acrylic Paint
Double sided Foam Tape
3 mm Quilling Strips for Flowers
Mod podge

At first I wanted to keep the cover design intact, but as I have two more boxes with the same design...I altered it.

I colored this box with black acrylic paint from all sides.

Then I covered it with patterned paper.

I used mod podge to stick the paper. Then I added a layer of patterned paper on the top cover.
I used double sided foam tape to stick this layer as I wanted some height. Foam tape is used to stick the tags here also.

And completed the look with two Quilled flowers. Here I used 3mm strips to create the flowers.
Decorated the empty space with some pearls.. And her's the finished project..
